About your inspector

My name is Mike Aho. I am second generation Finish-Canadian. My grandfather came to this country in the early 1900’s to work as a carpenter. My father was also a carpenter and I have followed in their footsteps with an interest in construction.

I graduated from Algonquin College’s Home Inspector Program with Honours in 2006. As well, I have completed 15 other inspection related courses at accredited colleges such as Humber and Seneca.

In 2007, the Wood Energy Technology Transfer Society certified me as an Inspector for the purposes of inspecting all wood burning appliances.

I was certified by The Ministry of Housing in 2007 as an Inspector for septic systems.

Certification in all of these domains took a lot of time, dedication and determination but I am committed to providing my clients with a full service inspection company. I know time is valuable and clients look for one stop shopping when it can be provided. St. Lawrence Valley Home Inspections provides just that... one stop shopping. Be it a home inspection, a wood burning appliance inspection, septic inspection or project management, we do it all... “under-one-roof”.

I am a proud member of the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors and the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors. These associations ensure that home inspectors are not only competent but demand that continuing education be part of their continued certification.
